The rodent monitors are specifically equipped mouse and rat bait stations with a snap trap system. Through the laterally installed sending unit with a magnetic field and a magnet at the snap trap bar signals the system infestation via LoRa wireless radio technology as soon as the snap trap has shut and thereby the magnetic contact has been interrupted. The technology has been developed for applications in the IoT-sector (Internet of Things) and offers numerous advantages like long ranges, better coverage in buildings and low energy consumption. Therefore, repeater are practically redundant. Technical details are available under

The reception of the data from the respective sending unit and their transfer to the PCO requires a gateway that has an integrated GSM-modem and a multiband SIM card. The SIM card automatically selects the best available network and works even transnationally. The data volume is billed monthly. Technical details are available under

HYGiTEC® Permanent-Monitoring is a software-based module for monitoring rodent infestation via radio. Because: rodent infestation is not tolerated in the food and hygiene sector.

Since food- and hygiene standards such as IFS, BRC, AIB, etc., are on everyone’s lips and there is an endless coming and going of auditors of large store chains and large manufacturers of the food and luxury food industry, the requirements for manufacturers of all involved parties in food safety are increasing. This also concerns the entire pharmaceutical sector. If justified or not, won’t be evaluated at this point. However, also service providers (in our case the pest control companies) are required to equip their customers with professional monitoring systems and they have to document everything, what’s considered to be successful within a hygiene audit (animal and fungal pests). The specific requirements can vary greatly in quality and extent – sometimes, they even depending on the personal claim of the auditor. All this has led in the recent years to pay more attention to the monitoring and to the preventive pest monitoring with high-quality documentation, than before. As a result of this, the use of pest control products is still limited. In the field of rodents (sensitive indoor areas), the use of rodenticide baits is increasingly renounced, in individual cases – depending on the standard – even simply prohibited by the auditors (risk of spreading, etc.). Consequently, new ways had to be found to do without rodenticide baits. One way was the use of live or snap traps. However, they have to be controlled daily to collect and eliminate the possibly caught rodents. Here, the Animal Welfare Act assigns clear rules. This is a considerable expenditure, which increases the service costs of the PCO or also the internal costs of the above mentioned companies. Technical details are available under
